Looking for a particular breed of dog but not sure if you want the work that a puppy brings? Perhaps consider a rescue dog from one of the many breed-specific welfare/rescue organisations. Many of these dogs have come from great homes yet need to be re-homed due to a change in their owners' living conditions, moving overseas or other unexpected circumstances. You could very well find that great dog you've always wanted by sourcing them through these rescue groups.
